There’s so much to learn and see at Trail Days! Topic include: Railroads, Plants, Animal Tracks, Rivers, Monarch Butterflies, Trail Building….and even more! Presentations will go on throughout the day. See the event schedule to plan which presentations you’d like to see!

Kayak & Canoe Demos

  • Discovery of the ease, fun and adventure of paddling a kayak or canoe

  • River, boating and water safety, and the importance of wearing life vests.

  • Basic knowledge of kayaks and canoes, their differences, and how to enter and exit both.

  • Basic paddling strokes and boat maneuvering.

  • Emergency boating procedures (what to do when you get in trouble on a river).

  • Encouragement to use their new paddling skills with family and friends on our waterways and lakes.

Rock Climbing Wall

A 24 ft. climbing wall that can accommodate 2 climbers at a time. Climbing area secured by trained staff to coach climbers and offer encouragement and advice. Rock climbing offers a fun and exciting alternative approach to health and fitness by focusing on reaching one's full potential through the accomplishment of physical challenge It’s an activity that is fun for all ages!

Yoga on the Mainstage with Kelly Purcell Teeter

Bring your yoga mats (towels, blankets, etc) and join us for a yoga session on the main stage!

“In the fall of 2009 I accepted my first job out of college with the University of Georgia, therefore finding myself living and working almost 1000 miles from my beloved family and friends in Syracuse. I began attending yoga classes there to cope with missing loved ones and the feelings of moving to a new place, and yoga has been in my life ever since! I find that it fills just about every “hole” that pops up in my life—sometimes I need to work with my physical body for more strength and comfort and ease of movement, sometimes I need to find balance as changes (for better or worse) occur in life, other times I need to be surrounded by the community that a yoga studio fosters, and sometimes I need to find the time to revisit or learn more about breath work, meditation, or ethical guidelines (for example, the yamas and niyamas.) I was certified in 2011 under Linda Winnick at Shakti Yoga Studios in Woodstock, NY. I obtained my certification for the personal journey, but also to introduce what yoga affords to others. I have instructed for numerous studios over the past several years, including Syracuse University, CNY Fitness & Dance, and the former Lotus Life Yoga, as well as Mighty Yoga and Blackbird Yoga studios in Ithaca, NY where I have resided since 2012. I am honored and incredibly excited to be teaching once again in Syracuse for O Yoga in a space that once brought me so much happiness, peace, and a sense of community. Outside of my yoga practice and instruction, I am a science teacher at Ithaca High School, though I am currently on childcare leave to spend the year with my young daughter, Evelyn. My current passions are running, raising Evie, visiting my beautiful family in Syracuse, and hiking with my husband, Josh.”
