The Botanical Hiker

Heather Housekeeper, aka The Botanical Hiker set the record as the first person to thru-hike the entire 1,000 mile long Finger Lakes Trail system in one continuous trek. While she hiked, she researched the edible and medicinal plants she found. She incorporated these plants into her backcountry meals and first-aid needs, publishing a guide book to the plants upon completion.
